Between 1997 and 2007, the Trust supported the Carnegie Young People Initiative, a programme set up to promote the policy and practice of children and young people’s participation.

Some of the Young People Initiative’s work has transfered to Participation Works, a partnership of Third Sector organisations initiated by CYPI who are working together to build a participation infrastructure.
